INGREDIENT:
Masoor - 1/2 cup
Moong - 1/2 cup
Chana daal - 1/4 cup
onion - 1 small
tomato - 1
salt
red chillie powder
tumeric
For Bhagaar:
whole red chiilies
curry leaves
cumin seeds
green chillies
green corriander
chaat masala
lemon juice / tamarind pulp (imli)
Method:
Wash and soak daals for atleast an hour
Then transfer in patlili (pot) and let it cook on slow flame till properly tender.
Add onion and tomato cook till well blended
Add salt, turmeric and red chillie powder, If using Imli (tamarind pulp), add at this stage. Cook till well mixed.
Using your hand blender blend the daal mixture so it is smooth and nice & creamy.
Adjust water according to how thick or runny you like the daal.
Now for bhagar , put all things whole red chillies, cumin, sliced garlic, green chillies in frying pan, fry till garlic is light brown and pour the sizzling bhagar on to your daal
Serve with white rice and kuchumber (salad of onion, tomatoes, cucumber with lemon juice and chaat masala) and of course achaar. Yumm!!!!
