Khyber Chicken Karhai

There can never be enough Karhai recipes, here is one for you all which is incredibly tasty. This karhai has good amount of gravy as it uses both tomatoes and yogurt. The masala is on point spicy and the Karhai is so delicious served with garam naan bread :)

Ingredients:
- Chicken - 1 cut into karhai pieces 
- Garlic ginger - 2 Tbs 
- Salt - As per taste 
- Tomatoes - 7 -8 medium size, cut in half, take out the hard small round end/stalk part of tomato 
- Yogurt - 1 cup 
- Oil - 1 cup 
- Lemon juice - 1 
- Green coriander and julienne ginger for garnish 
Masalay:
- Red chilli powder - 1.5 tsp or more as per taste 
- Crushed Chilli - 1 tsp or more for more spicyness 
- Garam masala - 1 tsp 
- Dhania powder - 1/2 tsp 
- Cumin powder - 1 tsp 
- Black pepper - 1 Tbsp 
- Green Chilli - 8 whole 
Method:
- Heat oil and add Chicken. 
- Fry till it changes colour. 
- Add garlic ginger and fry. 
- Add salt and fry. 
- Add tomatoes and fry, cover and let cook for 5 minutes so that tomtaoes are softened. 
- Using your tong/chimta, to pull out and remove the softened tomato skin. 
- Break the tomatoes using your wooden spoon. 
- Cover and let cook for 5 minutes. 
- Now add all your masalas, add a little oil, and fry till oil is released. 
- Now add yogurt and fry. 
- Add green chillies and fry. 
- Fry, Fry, fry till oil is separated and you can see rich gravy. 
- Squeeze lemon juice. 
- Garnish with green coriander and julienne ginger. 
Delicious Khyber Karhai is ready!!, enjoy with garam naans :)
