Fruit Crumble

Ingredients


For preparing fruit:

  1. 450gm pears / apples, peeled, cored and chopped and tossed with the juice of lemon

  2. 225g golden castor sugar

  3. 450g frozen mixed berries or any berries of your choice

You can use any fruits imaginable, berries, peaches, plums, apples, pears or any other seasonal fruit you can get your hands on!!


For the crumble topping:

  1. 100g butter, chopped plus extra to grease

  2. 225g plain flour

  3. 75g ground almonds



Method


  1. Put the pear and lemon juice in a bowl, add 100g sugar, then add frozen berries and toss thorough to coat.

  2. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees

  3. Lightly grease a shallow ovenproof dish, then carefully tip the fruit in the dish.

  4. To make the topping, mix the flour, butter, ground almond and sugar in a food processe And combine.

  5. Tip it in a large bowl and rub by hands so that the mixture resembles crumbs

  6. spoon the crumble topping evenly on the fruit mixture.

  7. Bake for 35 - 40 min till the fruit gets tender and the crumble is golden and bubbling.

  8. Delicious Fruit Crumble is ready!!

  9. Serve a generous Crumble serving with icecream and squirting of double cream and enjoy!! 🤗
