Sarsoon ka Saag(mustard greens)
Makai ki roti (corn bread paki style) and namkeen lassi(salty yogurt smoothie)
Sarasoon ka saag
1/4 cup gram flour stir in ghee till it changes color, keep aside.
Add in a pot mustard greens 1 bunch, green chilies 2 and spinach 1/2 bunch add salt, red chili pow, garlic and ginger and add bit of water and cook it till the water dries up then blend in a blender.
In a clay pot add ghee, blended onions and cook till it changes color, add again red chilli powder, salt, g.g, turmeric, blended tomato and cook till oil comes on top.
Add the blended greens and then again cook till all the water dries up then add the fried gram flour and start bhoonofying and cooking till a nice aroma comes out and it looks cooked, add 1/2 stick of unsalted butter.
Put on slow cook and add corriander leaves.
Makai ki roti
I used
1 cup corn meal from shoprite
and added 1/2 cup apf, 2 tsp salt
and 1 tsp sugar,
made a dough using hot water and then left for 1/2 hr. Made chappattis on griddle cooking on both sides and spreading butter on one side.
Namkeen lassi
In a blender jug add 1/4 cup yogurt, 1/2 cup milk, 2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black salt. 1 tsp sugar and rest water and blend. Serve with ice.
