Black Forest Cake

For Cake:

6 eggs 70gm All purpose flour 1/2 cup sugar 1.3 tbsp corn flour 2 tbsp cocoa powder


1. Beat the eggs with sugar until double in volume and very fuffy.

2. Sift the dry ingredients twice then fold in the eggs mixture in three steps.

3. Fold very gently, in a spring form pan oil the base and put parchment paper, pour the mixture in the mold.

4. Preheat your oven at 180c for 20 min, and bake the cake for 30 to 35 min.

For Glaze 200gm fresh/frozen cherries 2tbsp sugar 1tbsp corn flour

1. In a pan add cherries and sugar and cook until sugar dissolved and water dries.

2. Then in a tbsp water dilute corn flour and add in the cherries and cook until transparent.

For Decoration

400ml whipping cream chilled 2 tbsp icing sugar Chocolate 100gm 1 cup cold milk

1. Beat the cream with icing sugar until soft peaks form. With the help of potato peeler make curls. 2. When the cake the at room temperature slice it with a serrated knife from centre.

3. Now put the bottom layer of cake on any platter or if on turntable if you have.

Soak it with cold milk little and add the whipped cream and levelled it with spatula, then add cherries glaze and keep some for the top.

4. Then put the top layer on and repeat the same process.

5. Put some of the whipping cream in a piping bag using star nozzle to make rosses on top. 6. With the help of your hand stick the chocolate curls on side of the cake and sprinkle on top also.


Yummiest cake and a must try :)
