Aalo vada pao

Ingredients

  1. Boiled and mashed potatoes 4 large

  2. Chopped green chillies 4-5

  3. Chopped mint and corriandar leaves mixed 4tbsp

  4. Red crushed chillies 1/2tsp

  5. Salt to taste

  6. Onion chopped 4tbsp

  7. Roasted and crushed cumin 1tbsp

  8. Turmeric powder 1tsp

  9. Karri patta 5 -6

  10. Mustard seeds 1/2tsp

  11. Chaat masala 1/2tsp

  12. Mustard oil 1tbsp


Method

  1. Heat mustard oil add karri leaves mustard seeds onion bd sautee it for 1mins

  2. add turmeric powder red chilli crushed and cumin sautee them for 30secs more

  3. put the masala into mashed potatoes

  4. add in salt chaat masala green chillies mujt nd corriandar leaves mix well and make balls.


For batter


  1. Gram flour 1cup

  2. Red chilli one pinch

  3. Salt one pinch

  4. Water as req to make medium thick runny consistency

  5. Method

  6. Make batter dip potato balls in it and deep fry in mustard oil til golden crispy


For Chutney


  1. Imli pulp 1 cup

  2. Mint leaves 1/2bunch

  3. Red button chillies 4

  4. Crushed roasted cumin 1tsp

  5. Black salt 1/4tsp

  6. Green chilli 1

  7. Put them in blender and blend it well.


To assemble

Toast Pao bread /mini buns in some butter, imli Chutney put fried vada and serve hot.
