TIRAMISU

Tiramisu is a coffee-flavoured Italian dessert. It is made of sponge fingers dipped in coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of cream, sugar, and mascarpone cheese, flavoured with cocoa.

Ingredients:


600ml Heavy Whipping Cream

225g Mascarpone Cheese

110g Sugar

1 Tsp Vanilla Extract

1 Pack Sponge Fingers

3 Cups Water

2 tsp Vanilla Essence

1/2 tsp Coffee Essence

3 Tsp Instant Coffee

Unsweetened Cocoa powder for dusting


Instructions

. * In a bowl combine water, vanilla essence, coffee essence and Instant Coffee. .

* In a seperate bowl, beat whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla until soft peaks form. Do not over beat otherwise cream will become hard. .

* Add in mascarpone cheese and beat till it is mixed. Again do not overbeat. .

* Dip sponge fingers in coffee mixture and place in a dish to make the first layer. Don't let them soak as they will fall apart, just a quick dunk in the coffee is enough. You can sprinkle some grated chocolate on the sponge fingers. .

* Spread half of the whipped cream mixture on top of the first layer of sponge fingers. Repeat process with the second layer of sponge mixture and cream mixture. .

* Dust the top of dessert with cocoa powder using a sieve. Refrigerate for about 2-4 hours and serve!!!!

In some places its not so easy to find Mascarpone cheese, Cream cheese as a substitute can be used and the result is still same fantastic.
