Serves: 10-12
Ingredients: 1. Desiccated coconut 500g 2. Condensed milk 250g 3. Sugar 150g 4. Ghee/butter 1 tbsp 5. Cardamom powder 1/3 tsp 6. Milk 8-10 tbsp 7. Green food colour 1-2 drops
Method: 1. Take a bowl and add condensed milk, sugar and cardamom powder. Then mix it well. 2. Add coconut into the mixer and fold it well. 3. Switch on the flame and take a wok, add ghee and melt it. Then add the coconut mixture 4. Start roasting it and add milk 2 tbsp during roasting. Add more milk to the batter if it is too crumbly. Then add green food colour. Avoid burning of coconut. 5. Grease a mould with ghee and spread the barfi mix into it. Let to rest for 30 minutes at room temperature then sprinkle desicated coconut and make cuts. Serve as a dessert, tea time or breakfast as well.
* This recipe can be turned into vegan➡️➡️Use soya cream and milk instead of normal animal milk.
