Healthy Bean Sprouts

You can make it at home for Japanese salad or samosa/roll fillings.It’s taste much better then store bought sprouts.


Ingredients:


Whole Mung beans enough to fill quarter of jar

Glass jar

Mesh cloth or net

Rubber band


Method:

1. Wash & soak whole mung beans overnight.

2. Rinse beans in the morning with fresh water, put net cloth on glass jar, use rubber band & drain water from the jar.

3. Tight jar cap & place this jar in the kitchen cabinet in dark place.You will see mung sprouts next day.

4. Rinse & drain water if jar beans after every 12 hours & place bottle in kitchen cabinet again.Usually I rinse in the morning & evening.

5. After 3 to 5 days sprouts are ready depends on weather condition & mung lentil quality.

6. You can use these sprouts as is in the salad or you can blanch in hot water for 1 minute & put in ice water(to maintain bright colour & crisp).

7. Fresh & healthy sprouts are ready to use in salads.
