Gulab Jamun

For jamun dough:


1 cup milk powder

1/2 cup all purpose flour

1/2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp elachi seeds

3 tbsp ghee

1/4 cup milk


For sheera:

2 cups water

1 cup sugar

1tsp elachi


Method:


For dough:


- Mix milk powder, all purpose glour, baking powder, elachi.

-now add ghee and mix well.

-add milk and make a smooth dough.

-cover it and keep it in refrigerator for 10 minutes.

-after 10 minutes, wet your hands, make smooth balls and fry it in oil.

-put fried jamuns in warm sheera.


For sheera :


- take water, sugar and elachi in a wok.

- cook it till sugar dissolves.


Notes:


-in the above mentioned quantity for dough, i felt my dough wasnt smooth enough so i add little milk and 1 tbsp more ghee.


-sheera should be warm while addigg jamuns too it. So i jamuns can be soak syrup easily.


-oil shouldnt be high while frying jamuns.


-wet ur hands while making balls, so it smooth balls can be formed.
