Degi Punjabi Chicken

Ingredients:


Chicken - 1 kg

Onion - 3 medium

Tomato - 3 medium

Yogurt - 1 cup

Green Chillies - 4 sliced

Minced Garlic Ginger - 2 Tbs

Red Chillies - 2 Tsp

Turmeric - 1 tsp

Salt - 1 Tbsp

Oil


Ground Masala 1

Corriander - 2 Tbsp

Cumin - 1 Tbsp

Grind to powder Corriander and Cumin


Ground Masala 2

Cumin - 1 Tbsp

Bay Leaves - 1

Cinnamon - 2 small

Black pepper corn - 1 tsp

Cloves - 4

Grind all these spices





Method:


  1. Add sliced onion to oil and fry till light brown

  2. Add chicken and salt and fry for 7 -8 min till chicken changes colour and turns brownish

  3. Now add tomatoes and mix.

  4. Add red chilli and turmeric.

  5. Add garlic ginger.

  6. Mix well and cover and let cook for 10 - 13 min. You should start to see gravy forming.

  7. Now add Ground Masala 1 and green chillies.

  8. Cover and cook for 10 min. You will see oil coming on top and beautiful gravy forming.

  9. Now add yogurt and Ground Masala 2.

  10. Mix and cook for another 5 - 7 min.

Chicken is ready with rich gravy and full of fragrance and flavour. Serve with Naans and enjoy!!
