Bhuni khichdi with aalo tarkari

Ingredients for khidchi

Rice 2cups

Yellow lentil 1cup

Cumin seeds 1tbsp

Onion 1medium sliced

Green chillies 2

Salt 1tsp

Oil 1/4cup


Method

Soak rice and lentil togther for 30mins

Heat oil fry onion till light golden add cumin green chillies salt add water according to rice quantity

Let it boil add soaked rice and lentil when water dries put it on dum till done.


For tarkari

Boiled potatoes 2 large roughly mashed

Tomatoes 2

Red chilli powder 1tsp

Karri leaves 6

Salt 1tsp

Turmeric powder 1/2tsp

Mustard seeds 1/4tsp

Ginger garlic paste 1tsp

Cumin powder 1tsp

Garam masala 1/4tsp

Dry fenugreek leaves 1tsp

Green chillies 3

Oil 1/4cup


Method

Heat oil fry karri leaves mustard seeds add tomatoes turmeric powder red chilli powder cumin powder and cook till oil comes on surface.

now add potatoes salt some water and cook for more 8mins

Lastly add dry fenugreek leaves Green chillies Garam masala.
