BBQ chicken gravy

INGREDIENTS

  1. Boneless chicken 3lbs

  2. Corriander powder 1/2Tbsp

  3. Cumin powder 1 tsp

  4. Mace and nutmeg powder 1/4 tsp each

  5. Yogurt 1 cup

  6. Yellow color optional

  7. Salt to taste

  8. 2Tbsp fried brown onions

  9. Black pepper to taste

  10. Turmeric 1/2 tsp

  11. Red pepper to taste

  12. 1Tsp bbq sauce

  13. 1/2 cup oil

  14. Coal dum for bbq taste

  15. Garlic and ginger 1 Tbsp each

  16. 2 tomatoes diced

  17. 1 onion sliced

  18. 2 green chilies

  19. Coleslaw packet for garnish

  20. Corriander and mint leaves

  21. Mayo and ketchup mixed together few Tbsp for drizzling on top


METHOD

  1. Mix all the spices in yogurt and marinate chicken with it for 1 hr.

  2. Put it on stove on medium flame till the chicken looks cooked then add oil and give it a few stirs.

  3. Now add onions, tomatoes , green chilies, corriander and mint leaves and stir again few times till the onion and tomatoes get soft.

  4. Heat the coal till it gets red hot and put it on a piece of small bread and place it over the chicken, drizzle oil and cover for 20 mins.

  5. Meanwhile in a separate pan empty the coleslaw packet, add 1tsp soya sauce, 1 tsp vinegar and salt and black pepper to taste and 1 tsp oil, cook until everything is mixed.

  6. Dish out the chicken and put the prepared coleslaw on the sides and drizzle the mayo-ketchup on it. Eat it with rice or naan/garlic bread.
